Our project team has formally concluded outreach in support of the proposal and would like to thank everyone who participated. An Applicant-led Outreach Summary has been prepared and can be downloaded below. The report has also been shared with The City to form part of the public record for Calgary Planning Commission and Public Hearing.

MacLean Court

Project Details

Sited at the gateway to Ramsay from the Rivers District, MacLean Court is set within an eclectic context of residential, commercial, and institutional development of varying age and scale. The subject site is located within an amenity rich part of Calgary: a 5 minute walk from the Centre City, two future Green Line LRT stations, Calgary’s Riverwalk pathway system, major parks and open spaces, and Inglewood’s 9 AV SE Main Street, which hosts a variety of commercial-retail businesses, employment opportunities, and MAX Purple BRT transit service.

The project name is derived from the MacLean Residence. MacLean Residence is identified on Calgary’s Inventory of Evaluated Historic Resources; however, the structure does not have any legal Heritage Designation or protection and is in poor condition. A Demolition Permit for the residence has been approved, however, a date for demolition has not yet been set. The project team looks forward to commemorating the residence as part of the redevelopment. The proposed land use redesignation and associated development vision will allow for the delivery of 20 new homes in four three storey slope-adaptive rowhouse buildings oriented to 8 ST SE and an internal courtyard. 40 parking stalls are proposed for the 20 units in private garages that will be accessed from 8 ST SE due to a significant grade rise from the street to the lane.
